    Description

    Hate to sell this one but need some money.  Bought this off dial-up eBay many years ago.
    This is another very early one!  It has long kept company with the observation in the other auction, so I believe this one was probably made in 1913, as it exhibits the traits of that first generation of these cars.  It has the crinkle painted couplers, the T-trucks, the original window inserts, the Lionel Mfg. Co., stamping on the bottom, and the interior is painted green as is the outside, but, it still has the "people pins" for passengers and the bars over the opening doors.  The paint on this car is very nice for its age, the maroon on the baggage doors shows wear from sliding back and forth, but over all, this one is in very good shape and is a lot cleaner than most of this early vintage - I wish the observation car had been this well preserved!  Sorry about the dust, I didn't realize it was dusty until the flash on the camera made that readily apparent!  Will clean up nicely.  Really a fantastic early car from the early years of these big standard gauge cars.
    Somebody out there needs to give this interesting bit of Lionel history a good home!
