    Surface Mount K-Type Thermocouple
    with Kapton Insulation for Digital Thermometers

    This is a reliable thermocouple wire probe with a K-Type thermocouple sensor. The surface k type sensor is welded to a stainless steel washer at the tip of a 3ft long wire probe, which has a high temperature Kapton plastic insulation, good up to 752 degree Fahrenheit

    . The wires are AWG 24, or about 0.5 mm. The thermocouple insulation diameter is about 2.2 mm.
    The thermocouple is welded to a stainless steel washer with an inner diameter for 1/4 inch screw. The actual inner diameter is 0.28" (7.95 mm), the outer diameter is 0.627" (15.93 mm), the thickness is 0.045" (1.2mm). This allows you to screw the K-type thermocouple to the surface of the object you want to measure.

    The thermocouple has a miniature type connector (2 flat blades) that will work with digital K-type thermocouple thermometers of many manufacturers (Nicety, Fluke, Extech, Omega).
    This thermocouple will read very low temperatures, if you have a suitable thermometer. I have tested this down to -350°F (-210°C) with my thermometer DT1311 and DT1312. Some k-type thermocouple thermometers DT804 and DT804A only measure to -58°F.  The miniature K-type thermocouple connector can easily be opened and you can shorten the wire if desired.
