Description
High Temperature Stainless Steel K-Type Thermocouple for Digital Thermometers TC-5-58 to 1832°F (-50 to 1000°C)
This is a high temperature stainless steel insertion thermocouple with a K-Type sensor, designed for an extra large temperature range up to 1832 °F degree Fahrenheit or 1000
°C
degree Celsius. The K-type thermocouple sensor is housed at the tip of a 19.5 inch long stainless steel probe , which comes with a large 5 inch long handle. The stainless steel probe is securely attached with a large metal flange. It has a miniature mini k-type thermocouple connector made from chromel and alumel that will work with digital electronic K-type thermometers (see my shop for a good selection).
It is great to measure ovens, furnaces or melting metal and it can be used in metalworking. Honestly, I first did not believe that it would work all the way up to 1832°F, so I got my propane torch and tested it, and yes, it works!
On the photo the probe is bent, it will ship this way and you then can easily straighten it out. Please note that the handle and the spiral cable of this k-type thermocouple need to be kept at room temperature. At a very maximum the temperature for the plastic parts should be 180 degree F. Also make sure to wear protective gear when measuring high temperatures. Safety is your own responsibility.
