    Description

Robo 3d R1+ 3D Printer with Filament. Condition is "Used".
This printer has been a workhorse. I have loved using it but am investing in other printers and want to pass this one on.
A few important things to note:
    1. This printer is made for people that understand how to use 3D printers. It is not a great printer for a beginner - unless you are really interested in learning and have the time to commit to it. While the printer works on command, knowing how to give those commands is a bit of a learning curve. I’m not going to be able to help you get this going once you purchase it - using it is on you.
    2. I have had one issue with this printer since I got it. There are a few cables that plug into the extruded. One of these is red. After about a year of printing, that cable came loose, and when it moved the printer won’t run (safety feature, as that cable reads the temp of the hot-end). This has happened twice - I have repaired both times with a putty-like substance that reinserts it and can handle the high temperatures. The most recent time I fixed it, a few years ago, I used a better substance, and since then it hasn’t been an issue. But it is possible this issue will come up again.
    3. Support for this printer by Robo is, from what I can tell, deprecated. There are a lot of historical threads and information to help you troubleshoot, but I don’t believe Robo is continuing to offer support for this printer.
    4. I have used this printer quite a bit. The plate looks a bit white in the pictures - this is because I use some spray glue to help the prints stick to the plate when they are printing. That method has worked incredibly well for me, and I think it is a key factor in getting a lot of use - and fewer prints that don’t finish - when using a Robo R1+.
    5. My preference is for someone to pick up this printer. Shipping it will be expensive, and shipping a 3D printer is very difficult. The only way I am willing to ship this printer is if you are willing to accept all liability involved in shipping.
