Description
K-Type Thermocouple for Digital Thermometers PK-400-320 to 752°F (-200 to 400°C)
This is a reliable thermocouple wire with a K-Type sensor. The k-type sensor is at the tip of a 3ft long wire probe, which has a medium temperature fiberglass insulation, good up to 752 degree Fahrenheit
°F
or 400 degree Celsius
°C
. The fiberglass is secured with thin thermocouple wire, not with a plastic shrink tube (which could melt at the high temperature).
The thermocouple has a miniature type connector (2 flat blades) that will work with digital K-type thermometers of many manufacturers (Nicety, Fluke, Extech, Omega). This thermocouple probe can be used to measure air or gas temperature, non corrosive liquids and the sensor can be attached to pipes or embedded into objects you want to measure.
This thermocouple will read very low temperatures, if you have a suitable thermometer. I have tested this down to -350°F (-210°C) with my thermometer DT1311 and DT1312. The k-type thermocouple thermometers DT804 and DT804A only measure to -58°F. The miniature K-type thermocouple connector can easily be opened and you can shorten the wire if desired.
