IVES Standard Gauge 180, 181, 182 Roof Original NO VARNISH Green

Description

THIS ITEM IS:
IVES # 181 Passenger car roof. I believe it will also fit the 180 &182 cars from the set. I did some cleaning & waxing and some light green came off onto the cotton I used to polish...so, car is not varnished or the green would not have tinged the cloth. Many IVES cars suffered from Flaking.
.Some were varnished by owners later on to stop and stabilize the paint. Some feel IVES varnished some of their cars at the factory. IVES also noted for solder joints to come loose and re-soldering was fairly common and seen on this roof... See pictures
and study carefully for condition. I had difficulty in getting pictures to show the shine on the paint in different lighting conditions so pictures in the listing are a mix of different light. Also..due to the shiny condition the reflections make the metal look somewhat distorted on bent. There is some of that but the reflections amplify or exaggerate it.  Pictures will over rule anything stated in listing. What you see is what you get....in this auction just the roof...

IVES parts... Chances are excellent if you win more than one IVES parts auction the 2nd or more items will likely ship for free. It will definitely be cheaper than the two or more individual shipping charges.  But, don't use the self check out. I will work with winning bidders on combined shipping.
ELECTRICAL ITEMS:
I try my best to test.  I do have a way to test things and won't say I can't test when something doesn't work. I'll disclose to you if it operates or not, as long as I know how the item is wired.
But I can't guarantee after shipping they will work the same as when tested for auction listing. If I don't know how to test something I'll explain that too.
