This is a great, small and fast reacting thermocouple wire with a K-Type sensor. The sensor is a bead at the tip of extra long wire probe, which has a plastic coating. This is easier to clean than fiber glass insulation. It has a miniature type connector that will work with digital K-type thermometers (see my shop for a good selection).
This probe can used to measure air or gas temperatures, liquid temperatures and it can be attached to pipes or embedded into objects you want to measure.

Additional information: This thermocouple will read very low temperatures, if you have a suitable thermometer. I have tested this down to -328°F (-200°C) with the digital thermometer DT1311 and DT1312. Note that many other digital thermometers have a limit of -58 F / -50 C.
